Which Salesforce clouds are supported?

Data I Am works with any cloud built on the Salesforce Platform™, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Industry Clouds.

Which browsers are supported?

Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Mozilla Firefox—sorry, no love for Internet Explorer.

Is Data I Am a Salesforce product?

Nope! We’re independent and not affiliated with Salesforce.

Technical Details

Do I need Salesforce admin permissions to use Data I Am?

No, but your Salesforce permissions determine what data you can access and modify.

How does Data I Am map fields?

We don’t just skim the column headers—we actually look at the data inside! Even if your CSV has no headers, no worries—we’ll figure them out and name them for you, like magic.

How does Data I Am suggest fixes?

First, our AI figures out what kind of data is in each column. Then, using field-specific smarts, it recommends fixes to clean up your data before it causes headaches

Is Data I Am only about preventing import errors?

That’s just the start! We also clean and standardize your data—so your phone numbers, street addresses, and email addresses look sharp before they land in Salesforce.

Can I extract data from Salesforce?

Yep! Our Extract feature generates SOQL like a pro.

Are related objects supported?

Yes. Child-to-parent relationships can be queried in extract jobs. (Parent-to-child support is on the roadmap.)

Are VLOOKUPs supported?

Forget VLOOKUPs! For Update jobs, we automatically fill in missing Record IDs. Want VLOOKUP-style matches from other fields? We have Smart Lookup.

Will I see the changes before loading the data?

Of course! You can preview all fixes and see the impact before hitting 'Run job'.

Are fixes applied instantly?

Kind of. Fixes you see happen instantly on the data shown in the app. The full file gets fixed just before it's loaded to Salesforce or downloaded.

What file types can I upload?

Right now, we only support CSV files. If that’s a deal-breaker, let us know at support@dataiam.com.

Any limits on file size?

We've put a soft cap on 100MB file size and plan to increase it in near future. If your need is immediate for large files, let us know at support@dataiam.com.

How is my data kept safe?

Security is a big deal to us. Please see the Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy for details.

What Salesforce API does Data I Am use?

We mainly use Salesforce Bulk API v2.0 for fast, large-scale data operations. Features not supported by Bulk API use Salesforce SOAP or REST APIs.
